I reserved a table through Google assistant on my phone which they honored. We had the buffet and ordered the 6 beef teriyaki sticks that came with the hibachi fire. It was a nice touch and they were good. I love the coconut shrimp. They called it lemon shrimp but it had no lemon in it which I was happy about.

We love China Hill! They have the BEST crab rangoons out of all the Chinese restaurants I've ever eaten in! Their buffet has a huge selection of delicious foods that you can enjoy to go or Dining in. Plus they make amazing mixed drinks 🍹

Best Chinese food we have had! The people are friendly, helpful and the owner greets almost every one and asks how they are doing! I was impressed. We had a large take out order, the food was prepared quickly, packed perfectly, and the whole group loved it. You'll love this Chinese Restaurant...

Great food and drinks

Loved the pork fried rice and some of the best egg rolls. Friendly employees.

Newly remodeled. Same friendly staff. New items added to the menu. Weekend buffet on off season and daily buffets during spring and summers.

Decent buffet right on the way to Bar Harbor. We've been several times. Will come again .

Service was nice. I didn't have one person I couldn't understand. It was a little slow, but that's because they were missing staff. The food was cook throughly. It arrived fast as well! The drinks were kept full and she was so sweet. The buffet was nice and hot. It was kept full and had lots of choices too!

I always enjoyed my meals at China Hill, especially a shrimp fried rice or spicy vegetable fried rice meal. My goodness, the portions were so large that I'd have to take some home, but it was definitely worth it. Very clean establishment, pleasant servers and management, and clean facility.

I frequent this establishment. I always have excellent service. The bar is fabulous you won't get a better drink anywhere else in Ellsworth. And try Mo Mo's cheesecake for dessert!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always freshly prepared, hot, and delicious. In particular, I like their appetizers! The hot tea warms me up in winter. The staff is very welcolming and eager to serve. Highly recommend.

Had the weekend buffet. The buffet consisted of good choices but mostly are fried options and they were a bit salty.

The food is good! The buffet was a little on the sparse side but tasted delicious! The staff was super helpful and friendly! The concern that I have is the fact that the bathroom is not really wheelchair accessible. We managed but not without struggle. The actual toilet is too far from the wall and can be scary to use if you are not confident in your strength. The sinks are lovely, but the soap dispenser is out of reach for an average person standing up and completely unusable for a short person or a person in a wheelchair. You also can't use the sink in a wheelchair unless you are turned sideways. Other than that, I would dine here again!

Wonderful Food good prices on everything

I love coming to China Hill with my family, I would say some of the best Chinese food there is in New England! Can't wait to come many more times. Then again I love Chinese food!

Ribs ok chicken fingers good. Not enough sweet n sour sauce although good. But restaurant was really cold

The fact that China Hill doesn't have at least a 4.6 is a great affront to the values our great nation was founded upon. These wonderful people have come to America on tiny boats and shared their cuisine with us. Have you no shame?

If you're not a local you're probably not going to like it it's not what you're expecting there's a lot of negative reviews because people today want some extravagant ethnic dining experience if that's what you're looking for you're not going to get it but if you're a local and you know what you like it's a really good place especially the bar the original staff are really caring compassionate people

We stopped in here one night after a long day in Acadia National Park. We were initially looking for a Mexican place that was supposedly down the street, but couldn’t find it, and ended up here. We were a little apprehensive at first, because it didn’t look extremely busy this particular night. We were so hungry, that we took a chance and decided to go in. It really wasn’t bad at all. They had a buffet, but since it was late, the food looked like we’d prefer to order from the menu, which is what we did. The service was ok, and the food came out hot, and tasted pretty good. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was better than expected. We were so full after, so mission accomplished I guess.

The food here is really good. My husband and I always share a meal and my 3 kids split one meal. There's definitely enough food so that everyone is satisfied. We live locally and this is our go to for Chinese. The orange beef is delicious. If you are doing pick up I suggest getting the sauce on the side. So good though and the family that runs it are really sweet people!! 💗

The place was super quiet, the food was delicious and the portions as always were huge. We always expect to take a carry out when we go. This time I remembered to take a photo before diving in.

Pretty basic, I'd have to say. Food not amazing. A tour bus arrived just about the time I did...40-45 guests decinded on the place. Staff went into panic mode and ignored me as I was waiting to be seated. All in all, not amazing... service was about average...the surroundings need cleaning and a major update. China Hill is a disappointment...don't bother with this Ellsworth hole.

Great food and service and clean

Wicked good by Maine standards. Hell we love our greasy food along with our crunchy food. Don’t go to a 16 dollar buffet anywhere and expect the world lol. You are smart if you order from the menu trust me! Great service and beautiful decor. No other place quite like it. We order out from there quite commonly and I have grown up going there my whole life. The low ratings are picky eaters and out of staters used to different food and finer food meant for royalty I’d say. Never have I ever had a problem with the food being to dry or way to greasy. The teriyaki BEEF and chicken fingers are to die for. Also try the PuPu Platter. That is highly sought after by family and friends of mine. All in all this is a fan favorite for all us J-Port Beals people.

Was not impressed. Food was over cooked (rice, wontons) and waitress came across as tho better than anyone she waited on. Best part was serve yourself salad bar (fresh veggies).
